Admission Process

KEAC wins bid for new Channel

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday approved a $100 million contract with the nonprofit group KEAC to create and operate a new public access television channel.

KEAC, which stands for the Knowledge and Education Alliance, will create and operate the channel, which will be known as KCET. The channel will aim to provide educational programming that is accessible to all.

KCET was one of three finalists in a countywide competition to find a new public access television provider. The other two finalists were the nonprofit group Oasis Media Arts Foundation and the city of Long Beach.

The KEAKCET Result 2017 will be available on its website from 10:00 am onwards on Wednesday, May 24th, 2017. Students can check their results by entering their roll number and registration ID in the website’s registration form. Candidates who have applied for admission but failed in one or more subjects can still apply for re-admission through this process.

KEAN hosts free health screenings for residents

The Kern County Public Health Department (KCPHD) is conducting free health screenings for residents in the areas of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and more. The screenings will be held at KEAN on Thursday, September 27 from 9am to 12pm.

Residents are eligible for the screenings if they are 18 years or older, have a valid driver’s license, and live in one of the following areas: Bakersfield, Delano, Earlimart, Fowler, Lake Isabella, Long Beach, Porterville, or Tehachapi.

KEBC celebrates years of broadcasting excellence

KEA KCET celebrates its outstanding achievements over the past few decades with a special programming event, “KEBC: A Retrospective”. The retrospective will feature documentaries, interviews, and other special programming that captures the history of KEBC.

The event kicks off with a documentary called “To the Point: The History of KEBC” which tells the story of how KEBC has become one of the most important media outlets in Southern California. The documentary features interviews with journalists, politicians, and other notable figures who have had a role in shaping KEBC’s history.

Other special programming scheduled for “KEBC: A Retrospective” includes a documentary on the life and work of journalist Edwin Newman. Newman was a pioneer in broadcasting and was instrumental in shaping KEBC into what it is today. His career spanned more than four decades and included stints as both an anchor and commentator on news broadcasts.
