The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) is an online portal where one can check their kisan status and get latest updates on their loan. The portal has been launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January this year. The PM-Kisan portal has been developed in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
The website has three main sections – kisan, loans and benefits. The kisan section provides information on the kisan status, including name, age, sex and district of residence. The loans section gives information about all types of loans given to farmers and agricultural labourers, such as crop loans, debt waiver schemes, irrigation loans and housing loans. The benefits section provides information on different welfare programmes available to farmers, such as direct benefit transfer (DBT), insurance and pension schemes.

For example, if one wants to know the loan amount sanctioned to a particular farmer or agricultural labourer, they can type in the name of the farmer or agricultural labourer and hit enter.
Procedure to update PM Kisan eKYC Status Online
The procedure to update PM Kisan Aadhaar online is as follows:
1. Log in to the website www.uidai.gov.in.
2. Click on ‘Aadhaar’ from the main menu on the left side of the website.
3. On the next page, click on ‘Update Aadhaar Status’.
4. Enter your Aadhaar number and date of birth in the required fields and click on ‘Update Details’.
5. You will now be taken to a page where you can verify your identity by uploading a copy of your photograph and signature or by using GoogleAuthenticator.
6. After you have verified your identity, click on ‘Submit’.
7. Your updated Aadhaar status will be displayed on the website and will also be sent to your registered mobile number or email address, as applicable.
How to update the Kisan KYC Status Offline?
The Kisan KYC status can be updated offline through the website www.kisanidbi.in. However, the last date to update the status is 31st October 2018.
If you have not updated your Kisan KYC Status online by this date, you will not be able to get benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
If you are a Kisan and want to know your KYC status, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to the India websites of the National Insurance Agency (NIA), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and Income Tax Department (ITD).
2. Enter the batch number and date of birth of the person who is KYC-ing for the first time.
